Another terrorist attack occured this past week, this time in India. Please pray for the people involved in this terrible attack.
This is another example on how close we are to the Lord's return. Why do I say that, just look in;
Matthew 24:12
And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.
But it is much more than this, it is the war between the Middle East and the West, or actually it is a war between Islam and Christianity. This war has been going on since Isaac and Ishmael. One thing we need to remember, everything started in the Middle East, and it will end in the Middle East (actually the world does not end, but we will get a new heaven and earth).
We are the generation that will see our Lord's return, we see the end times events happening at break neck speed now. We are seeing more hatred, not only in the Middle East but here at home.
We will see a huge change in our government in January, we will see much more liberal views becoming more mainstream in our society. We will have a president that some people are calling "The Worlds President" and "The Messiah". We also see Newsweek writing an article called "Is Obama the antichrist?". Is Obama the antichrist, I do not know, maybe he is just a prelude of what is coming our way.
We as Christians must stay vigilant, we must get involved in our community, we must not let the officials in our government pass laws that are against Christians values. We must spread the good news of Jesus Christ. We can not just wait for the Lord's return, we must be busy at His return, busy with His work! But the most important thing is, we must be Christ like, love people like Christ loves us! Let us not judge other people, but let us share the true word of God. Remember we are all sinners, but when we accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior and repented of our sins (repent means the changing of our sinful ways), by grace we were saved. Glory to God for His saving grace!
With all the things that are happening today, not only in India, but also here in the USA, we are seeing the events that Jesus said would happen before His return, look in;
2 Timothy 3:1-5
”But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!”
We are certainly seeing an increase in this today, and the Lord said it will get worse, but just remember this;
2 Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Hallelujah!!!
Time is getting short out there folks, so lets get out there and spread the word, God's word;
John 3:16-21
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”
Well the elections are finally over and we have a new President. No matter if we agree with the views of President Elect Obama, we must still pray for him and his family. We need to pray for his safety, and pray for the wisdom to lead this country. We also need to pray that God will open his heart and eyes and have God lead him through the tough decisions that will soon come his way.
Remember God did not say this morning, wow this was a complete surprise! No, this is His will, we may not understand it right now, but we will know. Nothing takes God by surprise. God is in COMPLETE control, so rejoice in the Lord!
Romans 13:1-3
Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same.
We need to pray daily for the safety of this country, and for keeping God's hand of protection on this country. Pray also for Israel and her safety. Pray for God's will in this world, we have so many lost people out there looking for something, Jesus is that something they are looking for, we need to be there for them. Pray for revival in this country!
